How to Clean your Diamond Jewelry at Home

Do you realize it’s important to keep your diamonds clean to allow them to maintain their sparkle? If you have worn your diamonds rings for some time, you must have noticed that it suddenly became lifeless after a while. Some people might think it’s because of the life of a diamond. Actually, a grubby stone is more than likely the cause.

Usually, the key culprit of a dirty precious stone is grim and body oil residues from fingers or epidermis contact. As the muck accumulates on the top, it can greatly hamper the diamond’s capability to transfer light properly. This is emphasized by the fact that a good slim film of olive oil over a diamond can completely change where light refracts, causing the diamond to have a lower brilliance and sparkle. With regards to keeping your precious stones clean and bright, there are a few ways so that you can use to clean your gems at home.

We Have Launched

It has been quite the journey, but our persistence has paid off. We are happy to announce that although our website was technically launched a month ago, we are now fully done with the optimization of functionalities and design. Any further changes will be minor. We pride ourselves not just in the high quality of our jewelry and unique selections, but also the ease and functionality of our website. We personally take care of all we think is needed for our online shop, there is no company consulting us. This shop is our vision. It’s funny that a year and a half ago we made a post about the website almost being launched, but it is only really fully ready now. This only shows how picky we are about our product. And even fully ready, there is still a long way to go, as we still need to get our social media accounts in full action. Now that the website’s functionalities are all ready and appearing as they should, we can focus on expanding inventory to 1000 items, and adding translations in at least 5 languages other than English. A product like this can never really stop expanding, as constant progress is part of the formula. It never ends, and that is a beautiful thing.

Constantly hearing about EU cookie legislation has caused me to investigate what really is and isn’t allowed. I was personally never was too worried about this website considering we don’t use any tracking software, but I did want to make sure I know what’s going on properly. It turns out any third party tracking cookie for gathering statistics is considered a “bad cookie". This includes but is not limited to cookies that use third party software to analyze user experience and other statistics, to showing ads. Even embedding YouTube videos on our website (when not using the youtube-nocookie link). It turns out it’s almost impossible to have ads on your website without having third party cookies going along with them. Not that this is of any issue regarding this website, as we have and will never host ads.

Current Updates

Pardon the delay! Most of the last months have been spent on the backend optimizing everything to work and look as beautiful as possible. When it comes to a launching a project like this, adding details about items and taking pictures is actually the easiest part. If I were to throw an estimate regarding percentages of technical and design work versus actual cataloging of product details and photography, it would be around 90% for the first, and 10% for the lather.

Getting There

Setting this project up to be competitive, clean and fashionable is proving to be quite the journey. The amount of small changes being made are at times perplexing. I would not normally consider myself a perfectionist, but regarding this website I am. The final shape has finally taken place, and save for a few items that have to be marked for web, measured and written detailed information about, there is not much more to do.
